Our trailer will follow the conventions of traditional trailers, as if we follow the conventions
of trailers, the final trailer will be effective as these codes and conventions have become conventions as a lot of trailers do these things as it draws in the audience the most.
Our trailer will use fast paced and dramatic music, this will be to make the film look
exciting and entertaining for the audience to watch, this will make people want to watch the film. This fits with our genre of crime thriller as thriller movies are meant to be exciting and through using this music we're showing our audience that it is and
if they are a fan of crime thrillers then they will be entertained by the trailer and they'll want to watch the film. An example of a movie that uses fast paced exciting music is inception as this movie is an exciting action film and it's clear through the
trailer what kind of film it's going to be using the music. This style of soundtrack in films is now very popular amongst trailers as it attracts the audience into watching the final film.
We also will put the title of the film right at the end of the trailer which is conventional
to trailers, this is done to inform the audience on the name of the film so if they like the look of the film, they'll know the name of it. Every film trailer will have the name of the film in it as the purpose of the film trailer is to make people watch your
film and they can't do this if they don't know the name of the film. It's normally at the end of the trailer so that the audience are more likely to remember the name of the film.
The narrative we will give away in the trailer is a tiny amount of the final narrative
but just enough narrative that the audience will want to watch the final film. We won't give away a lot of our film as if we was to give away our whole film then the audience won't be botherd to watch the final film because they would have bacically watched
the whole film in the trailer and there would be nothing left for the audience to see and there would be nothing that they would want to find out about in the final film. However we will give some things away in the narrative as we need to give something away
to the audience about the story so they will want to finish the story and inform the audience on what our film is going to be about which is important in a trailer. A similar trailer that only shows part of a narrative is Avengers Infinity war as it introduces
us to the narrative, which we can see from the trailer is Thanos trying to get the infinity stones but we don't know wheter he succeeds or not, this is why the audience will end up watching the film.
Another thing we do that follows the conventions is using our production company logo in
the trailer this is really just to make sure people know who's making the film. This is usally done with bigger production companies as they'll have a reputation so as soon as people see a certian production company logo such as Pixar they know exactly what
kind of movie it's going to be, in Pixars case we know it's probably going to be an animated kids film.
We include the names of our actors in our film, this is done to inform the audience on
the actors in the film, most bigger films they will use bigger actors that people will know, therefore they will say who is acting in the films if it's an actor the person watching it likes the actor then their more likely to watch the film.
